First Cavite Industrial Estate, Inc. (FCIEI) is formerly a joint venture project of the National Development Company (NDC), Marubeni Corporation and Japan International Development Organization Ltd. (JAIDO), a corporation established by KEIDANREN (Japan Federation of Economic Organization). FCIEI was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on December 14, 1990 under SEC Registry No. 184885 and with the Board of Investments (BOI) under Certificate of Registration No. 89-491 dated January 09, 1991, on a non-pioneer status as an industrial estate developer. Among the incentives given to FCIEI was the income tax holiday for a period of four years, which expired in 1995.
FCIEI was created principally to acquire, own, lease, hold, subdivide, construct, develop, equip, operate, maintain and generally deal in industrial estates and in any and all lands, estates, buildings, plants, construction or manufacturing works, canneries, mills, factories, refineries, warehouses and other business structures. Secondarily, and for such purposes, to acquire, construct, maintain and operate roads, bridges, pumping plants, drainage systems, structures, systems and works of all kinds, and all machinery, equipment, instrument, apparatus and appliances which may be required, needed or used in connection therewith and to do all acts, matters, and things incidental to, necessary or desirable for and in connection with the foregoing.
