History

The Cebu Port Authority (CPA) was created through the enactment of Republic Act No. 7621 signed on June 26, 1992 to specifically administer all ports located in Cebu Province, effectively separating these ports from the PPA system. CPA began operations and officially took over all Cebu ports on January 1, 1996.

Mission

To build, operate and maintain ports under its network and implement an integrated management systems aligned with internationally accepted standards and practices for operations, planning and development of ports within its territorial jurisdiction enhancing trade and commerce.

Vision

To become a world-class port that is financially sound, economically profitable and self-sustaining with the passion to deliver safe, efficient and effective port services, responsible environmental stewardship, exemplary public service, and to promote regional commerce through the port.
